National points are kind of miss leading. It all depends on how many races you run and rain outs and such. I kind of wish they would run it on a average once you get over so many races. Look at some of the asphalt guys that have 50+ races and now have a perfect score of 2500. I hear you though Jim they do change the process for turning Pro every year. I think that the figured out that they were sending to many guys to up and didn't have the SP coming in.

I think that if Ethan and DJ go up, we will have 3 or 4 in Semi-Pro left in Wisconsin.
Point Average would be a good way to do it. It's ard to get in 20 races in Wisconsin, especially if they change it next year so that your home state points are the only ones that count. I was at every race in Wisconsin this year, plus went to Iowa once and only have 18 races in for the year.

I will be screwed cuz they don't have any races in Maryland. I have to run in Pennsylvania (Dirt) or Virginia (asphalt). Where did you here that at Jim?

I don't remember, and John Haggan has not responded to my emails.
We need to know whats going on so we can try to schedule accordingly.
I think you can pick your "home" state, so you could choose PA as your home state.
This is all coming from somewhere in the back of my head, so it could be totally off base  ???

This the email that I got back from the FAST Legends Dealer about dirt tires at Eldora.

the magority of the drivers do not own a set

the expense

plus it's the end of the year

to keep everyone on a level playing field

federal or BF's are ok as well

you can beadlock the right rear

I don't think he got my message about the DANGEROUS part of the tire thing. Gimp had a great point also about the cut tire verses uncut. I do have a couple of uncut sets BFG's for sale though...............LOL

That reminds me... I should answer some set-up emails. First time out of the house yesterday in 2 weeks and seems I over did it lifting that chunk from the back of my diesel and carrying it into our dealer's shop. Hurt something inside and have been down since. Ribs down to my hip bones swelled. Normal 31 inch waste, blue jeans were 7 inches from being even close to buttoning.  I feel like 7734.. gunna rest fer a while. Need to be good so I can make it to the Nats. Wanda confirmed out date yesterday and put in for time off from the bank so we can go see som of you fellers racin' at Elko

Good Morning Steve,
Earlier this year we had some questions about set up.  Just wanted to thank you for the help you provided. We tried all kinds of things as this was our first year in a Legend.  My son Ryan raced at several different tracks this year.  Ryan came in 5th in the Nelcar Legend Series and earned Rookie of the Year and also Rookie of the Year at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  I bought a 2nd Legend that we stripped down to the bear frame yesterday and we are ordering a 1934 Coupe Chassis.   My Question to you is a Coupe faster then a Sedan?

A coupe is a little lighter but we had both out testing yesterday and there was very little to no difference in lap times. Some will tell you that there is a BIG difference but there really isn't. The coupes will turn a little better on tight tracks but this can be a good thing and sometimes a bad thing. Just my thoughts.

Congratulations to Ryan and the rest of the team!
I know you guys were struggling a bit at the start. Good to hear that you got things worked out.
I look forward to watching next years results.

As Scott said; Coupe is lighter by a bit. Results still remain fairly mixed as far as wins for both.

Take Care,

Steve
