5th at Angell Park after starting last and pulling off 10 laps in and getting back to 5th. The car was wicked fast but got a feeling this motor is done again or it'll cost over a bundle to fix. This is getting old. All i know is its burning oil. Ran fine all yesterday and this morning. Run the heat and then start to get a little blue smoke from the motor. Put a little oil in to get it to the right level and go on track for feature. Start last planning to run 1 lap but there was no smoke so i run 10 laps in until first caution. Pull off to see if i should park it or keep going. Still no smoke and running perfect. Go back out and then with about 5 to go it starts popping like crazy about mid straight away. Car was perfect setup wise so i finished the race, but am afraid about what i'll hear tomorrow.

This has been the most frustrating weekend.
Was 6th in the A Saturday and took myself out by pushing up into Joey.
Took 2nd in my heat tonight, and started 7th in the Main, was up to 4th with 4 to go and almost lost it. Was able to keep it from going around, but was bogged down  in the infield mud and had trouble getting out. Should have just pulled onto the track and caused a caution like the midget drivers do, but I kept it going. Passed 2 cars,  no idea how many were there or where I finished.
All I know is that driver error on my part wrecked what should have been my best weekend ever.  :-\

I feel it, it's just too damn slippery! My time keeps eluding me.
I love the wet/tacky tracks like we had tonight, really shows what the VMS engines can do.
I feel good about the weekend in general, and am glad I only have myself to blame for my mishaps.
Too easy to blame others and not focus on bettering yourself. I know I messed up both nights, nobody to blame but the loose nut behind the wheel  ;)
We'll have at her again next weekend

Jim,

Two thumbs up!!! At least you know where things went wrong.
You still have two fans up here in Montana!

Heard about ET's heat wins.
Facebook posts sound promising.

Haven't heard much from some of the other WI racers.

Had one of my best weekends. Lead the whole feature Saturday night till coming out of 4 for the checkered, got 2nd. Tonight won my heat race. Started on the pole for the feature and Joel got the lead. Followed him for a few laps and then Barth got by me. Was in 3rd till Joel spun out. On the restart, followed Barth the whole race. I got by him with one to go and coming out of 4 for the checkered my box went out and he got me by a foot. Over all a good weekend.

Hi Brandon,

I catch bits and pieces about your season. Except for the ignition going south.... Sounds like a great weekend!
Congratulations!!!

My goal is to have a motor last more than 8 races. First season it lasted a little over 20, last motor was around 15, this one 8. Still won't know whats wrong with it until tomorrow, but who knows..piston rings, valves...
