Ron, did you ever get the caliper part numbers you were looking for (or atleast which make and model Toyota is correct)?
I am now looking for the same thing, specifically the Autozone part numbers.

Thanks,
Gerad

I just got 76-81 toyota celica/supra calipers from NAPA.  They seem alright, however I kept my old brackets and slides because the new ones they gave me seemed tight to go together.

Ron,
Speedrome was pretty good.  Won my heat race, first time at the track.  But they made me start 17th out of 18 in the feature because it was my first time there.  Finished 12th, not bad.  They don't have drivers meetings, or any real interaction with officials (incouding no using raceivers).  It was a little confusing just knowing what we were supposed to do.  Luckily there are enough other drivers we knew that we could ask them questions (I couldn't even find an official at one point).
Yes, we will be back this Saturday, not running Sundays there.  Hopefully we'll see you there!

Thanks for the answer on the brakes, where did you get your rebuild kits?  I'm leaning towards making the attempts through Autozone to find the replacment caliper.

Do not install off the shelf rebuild kits, you are going to have the same issues in  a few races. They are not designed for the heat.

Are you just trying to downplay people figuring ways to make stuff work without spending all that money have tried brakeman and all that stuff see one of the number one cars winning every week in nc with same calipers  or u trying to sell parts on this forum thought this used to be about racers trying to race without spending  with a NASCAR budget

Play nice.

For the budget minded, polishing the piston is a cheap DIY solution.
For those that can afford to spend the money, buy whatever.

My stock calipers that came used on the car in 2007 are still on mine.
Granted, one of them started  leaking this week, so I'm rebuilding it.
I race on dirt, not asphalt, so I don't put alot into the brake system. I know there is a difference, but on my personal car, I just can't justify the cost.
I stock calipers from USLC , and I stock Brake Man calipers...whatever my customers ask for, they can have.  ;D

you can polish stock and you pretty much have the same thing. It all depends how much you use your brakes at your track. If you don't use a lot of brakes then polish and be done. Again just a opinion
