Auxiliary plug, what is it?
« on: April 09, 2010, 02:06:13 am »
I bought a pretty beat up legend and it's almost back together. The wiring is a complete mess, but think I have it mostly sorted out. I can't figure out what the Auxiliary plug is though or what it does. Can anyone help with this?

Thanks

I have the black box. This is my wiring diagram I'm using... http://charlesking.net/Legends-Car-Wiring-Diagram.html

The wire is a split of the wire going to the alternator and fuse. According to the diagram it's a black wire.

Thanks

There is no cooling fan used in that diagram...perhaps that would be the "auxiliary".
It should be controlled by a seperate switch, thus the lead coming off before the main power switch

Usually, the auxilary plug is used to run whatever accessory you need to power.
