I think you have to get the restrictor plates through 600 directly...or maybe the track that mandates which one supplies them...anyone here with knowledge???

1. Your 600 dealer, they must have the infamous INEX stamp.
2. The only one you can use is the B&S pump, p/n 808656. Available from your 600 dealer or B&S.
3. Any steel bodied filter
4. The only one you can use is from B&S, p/n 692084. Available from your 600 dealer or B&S
5. An allen wrench and feeler gauge. I don't remember what size allen wrench, sorry.
6. I get NGK plugs from my 600 dealer.

For adjusting valves a 5mm allen and a 13mm or 1/2" wrench.

Restrictor plates come from 600.

A good plug is a B7ES NGK , or a B8ES is one step colder.

There is a new valve spring from 600 in a Briggs bag part number 809374, It is brown in color.  The older springs, (692084) are purple or have a purple stripe.  the new springs started appearing early in 2010.  These springs are longer and the wire is slightly larger.  When using these springs you must remove one of the two factory installed shims under the valve spring, (acording to the 600 engine shop).

For more valve spring information go to http://www.bandostuff.com/UsefulLinks.html and click on the valve spring maintenance link.

I know this is an old thread but the direct cross from the Champion plug briggs recommends to the NGK number is a BKR5E. Been using this plug in all my briggs racing engines for several years now with great success.
