Tristan had another bad night. Here's what he sent me:

Got in another bang up at Rockford......Another car and I were racing really hard, both fish tailling all the way around the track; and then, coming out of turn 4, we touched and she was on the inside of me. It made her turn straight for the wall and she hit it with the left side. I hit her with my left side. It bent the spindle, axle, and left nerf bar.

Started out bad for us on Friday night....

During the first practice the hose on the fule cell breather came off (my fault, didn't check the hose clamp it it was obviously loose) and threw fuel under our right rear tire in turn 2, causing us to spin and then get collected.....Damaging the front end and bending a rim....We fixed the front end but had not identified the line issue yet, but luckily we decided to pack up and head home for the night and come back Saturday.

Saturday was not much better at the start.....We found and fixed the fuel vent hose issue, but with the hit the car was still loose and with the carb work I did, we were not 100% yet.....I actually had a hunch about 5 minutes before the main about the engine, and my nephew had one about the set-up and we took a swing and made both changes.

Anyone racing with a restrictor plate knows, starting position is everything, and because of the issues we were starting at the back so we have a tough road to how ahead for any type of quality finish.  But the changes worked really well for us, we picked up over .4 of a second over our qualifying speed and the car was a rocket out of turn 4.....It was a race of taking an outside line for 13 of 15 laps which is tough.....but he brought home a 6th place and ran a fast time that was faster than 3 of the 6 cars ahead of him....so it is getting there!!!! ;D

Sounds like the changes you made were a big help. Hope you got the fuel line issues sorted out. Always a bad situation to be spewing fuel all over.
I hope you have better luck next week.

Ya, it wasnt his fault....this kid has the fastest car on the track and goes out and flo0rs it. He spun out once and Chance and I barely made it by. Then it was a whole race restart and he spun out again. This time I barely made it by and Chance didn't have any where to go and hit him.

This was posted on the Indy Speedrome site from Friday night:

"The INEX Bandolero brigade headed into tonight’s battle hoping to de-rail the hottest driver in the class, Paul Fusco. But first, the young stars had feature prelude testers. Heat one had Illinois ace Tristan Batson victorious over James Kirby and Zach Freeman. The second heat saw point leader Jack Dossey III besting Fusco and Dillion Brown for the win. Batson would lead the main event in the early stages looking for his first Speedrome victory. Fusco caught him just in the final third of the 20-lap contest and passed him for his third straight win. Tristan would finish second followed in the results by Brown, Dossey, and Chris Hacker."

Great Job guys!!!

Tristan finished 5th, after a wreck on Saturday, at Kentucky Speedway. A great come back on Sunday with a 2nd place finish there!

I heard that Paul had started running a legends car, but have not heard much about it. Would like to see his results from those experiences.
Have not seen Paul on here too much this year.

Didn't know if Paul went to KY. Just heard from Tristan about Indy.
Do you know how Paul is doing with his legends car?
