 Nah... not retire. Thinking of being a chassis dealer of sort. Been racing since 1976. Met Wanda in 1986, she tracked the racing with 35mm pictures through the years up untill around 2002 when we picked up a computer compatable camera. Right around the time we started racing Legends on dirt. LOL, so many races, techno and set-ups to remember that I have to use her memory for a reference at times..

A Happy Memorial Day To Everyone!

Some pretty exciting, and scary, reports so far from the weekend.
Jeff rolled his car. Good news is that he is OK.
Ethan did pretty good (8th). Had a fast car and was looking at a top 5 finish.
 DJ finished 2nd! That race sounds like it was pretty exciting. Hmmm... Someone finished 1st... Wonder who that was?
Tristan took his Bando to Indy; 13th and 9th.
I hope everyone will post there triumphs and heartaches from the weekend.

Remember those that are no longer with us; And Thank A Vet for all that they have done to keep this country great!!!

Went to El Paso Speedway Park Friday Night for our local INEX Regional, ran 4th in the heat on a super heavy track (the clay down here is good!!!) Started outside row 5 in a 21 car field in the A-Main and got caught up in a flip just as the green flag dropped. One of those "had nowhere to go" moments. tore the left front end out of my car, finished 16th.

Headed to Southern New Mexico Speedway on Saturday and drove my dads coupe to keep in the points. Ran 4th in the main again on another heavy track but the sprints were running that night too. Spent the heat just trying to feel out the car since I drive a sedan, this was only my second time ever driving a coupe. Ended up winning the trophy dash, and finished fourth in the main.....I like the coupe

Replay of Jim and Dan's night:
 "No rain, and we almost had a kick ass night. I had a 10 car length lead in my heat until I over drove the corner into the HEAVY cushion, actually had to down shift to get out of there. Finished 4th, and Dan 5th.
In the main, I started 3rd, Dan 4th. I passed 2nd and was going inside of the leader for 1st and the same jackass that wrecked me 7 times last year came through the grass to take it 3 wide in turn 4 of lap one and nailed me. 7 car pile-up, including Dan and Ethan. Ethan didnt get it restarted.  Anyhow. Starter got tore out, so I had to get a push start and restart 16th. Came back for an 8th place finish, with Dan .022 seconds behind in 9th."

At least you guys got to finish. Ethan ended up with some bent parts and was unable to continue. He did try that 3.73 gear in the car and seemed to be happy with it.

Speaking of "The E-Man"; He had graduation today.     CONGRATULATIONS ETHAN!!!!!!!!!!

Tristan got rained out at Illiana. He was really looking forward to getting back in his Bando after his rollover. He is going to try Rockford on Wednesday.

Im still running the 3.58...probably the only one doing it! 3.58 should be better at Oshkosh Friday, and Im not switching gears on Saturday morning before Beaver Dam. 3.58 still is working for me

DJ had an oil leak and didn't finish the race.
Joey had 2nd I believe, so Legendsracer cars 1,2,4.
Dan almost had the other VMS car in the top 5, but finished 6th.
I sucked. Having a miss/stutter on accel off the corners and a lack of power. Going to try to get the coils switched over ater my sons double header this morning before heading to the track unless someone has a better idea. Changed the plugs before the A and they all looked clean, so I dont think its a carb issue.

Still having the same problem with my car.  Miss/Stutter  goes away when you dont have to accelerate, so when I  lost the brakes with 4 or 5 laps left, I just held her to the floor and it stuck, managed a 9th out of 20 in the A.
Not sure where Ethan or DJ finished.
Grant had a rough night. Wrecked in the Heat and just couldnt get hooked up in the A
Brandon finished 2nd, Joey in 3rd I think, Dan finished 6th again.
Maybe if I change the number on his car to "6"  he'll come in 1st? (Its 01 for those that dont know)

I think i was 13th, DJ 11th. We're thinking a muffler leak where it attaches to the header really hurt me during the feature. The car was hooked up to the track but when i'd get back to the gas it seemed like the engine would just stall out around 7,000 until we got going down the straight away...

Ive got some extra exhaust gaskets if  tightening them down doesnt work, no charge, just let me know. Your problem sounds a bit like mine...?

Pretty miserable night of racing for me. Having engine issues...Thank you to Jim and Dan for working on my car trying to get it running correctly. They think it's a carburetor issue, so we're going to swap mine with DJ's tomorrow and hopefully that solves the problem...
