Not sure Gimp but you would think if you won that race you would be moved. I know that you have to will four 100 point races to get moved up but come on. It is the Nationals.

Scott

Last year I believe it was 5 class wins, 1 A Main overall win, or winning the Nationals got you moved up

   390 or a 373 track ??

----- Gimp -----

The car did pretty good in the test at Tri-City.  The handling was a lot more predictable than last year the the engine kept all of the rods on the inside.  Track was a little rough and slick, but I had fun.

Springfield is a quarter mile.  I saw the  Google Earth view and it looks stranger from space than it does in person.  :)  The track has been multi-groove in weekly legends racing and should put on a good show.

They say 3.90, but I don't see why a 3.58 in 3rd wouldnt work...

John,

Glad to hear you kept all the internal engine parts "inside" the engine. :o
Hope you got to learn what you needed to know from your test session.

A 3.58 in 3rd would probably be way too high of a gear.  I did 3.42 in 3rd last year and it was really buzzing the motor.  3.90 to 4.10 in 4th is were you want to be, or according to the gear chart 3.30 in 3rd falls towards the middle between those two.  I am going with the 3.30 option assuming the twins do not decide to arrive early. :)   Below is a cut and paste of the range we are talking about from the INEX website.

373-4   4.82
250-2   5.00
390-4   5.04
330-3   5.18
333-3   5.23
410-4   5.30
342-3   5.37
430-4   5.55
358-3   5.62

I'm a little confused here.  Thought the track was a quarter mile. In the past, running out of gear in 3rd gear with a 358 has only happened to me on a 3/8ths mile outside track. 3rd gear hitting the rev limiter with a 342 would have to be 3/8 inside ??

Thats why I thought a 3.58 in 3rd would be fine.
Thats what I ran at the 1/4 Mile track here we ran at last year and never hit the chip.

hi guys had a good time at anderson this past sat gerad on the other hand did not. I started heat 2 in the second row inside behind gerad but i had a better car in the heat race than in the qualifier made a pass on gerad for the lead and stayed there for the checkered flag .improved on my starting  postion. started 10th finished 9th lap times were alot better in the feature. gerad got into some trouble and hit the wall in 1 and 2 mest the car up don't know what all was damaged but he was ok maybe new front clip i don't know for sure.

Congratulations on the heat win!!!
Lets see if Gerad talks smack now!

I do hope he is OK and that his car was not damaged to badly. I would like to see how this rivalry plays out.
