LETS TALK ABOUT SHOCKS
« on: October 12, 2009, 11:38:35 am »
We only have  2 rear shocks, how many (rebound and compression settings are there for the shocks) can different shocks be purchased, if so from who and where?  Any information shared that make these cars work better is good for our sport, the better the car handles the safer the divers are.  It has been my experence that LR compression should be easy and rebound hard, by hard not easy to pull back, this holds the LR steady and allows the car to roll onto the RR and should be adjusted to track conditions.  RR should should be harded to compress and rebound easier, this allows the car to exit corner smoothly, again adjusted to track conditions. Shock packages and springs rates are important tools to improve handling.  Any  information and opinions welcome. looking foward to reading  your threads. Tim Worthy

Nothing to talk about as far as I can tell:

SHOCKS: All Bandolero Cars must use INEX-logo
stamped Bilstein shocks as currently delivered by 600
Racing, Inc. Changing or altering the shock or fluid inside
the shock is illegal. Altering or tampering with the shocks,
or competing with the same will result in a six-month
suspension for both driver and car owner. Shock bumpers
are permitted (maximum 1/4” tall).

Shocks are available through 600 racing. Call them or talk to your dealer as to options.

I have been getting a lot of messages about set up and shocks lately. I would like to hear a bit more from you Bando folks about this subject.
Thoughts? Observations? What's working for you???
