I paid $1,150 for my 1100cc. But bought the whole bike.
Most forms of racing, it doesn't take much to tie up over 5 g's in an engine.
Any way; Legends rules are what they are. We are not here to debate them.

10-4 , on racing would be cheaper if racers could vote thats why I run my legend as a dwarf so I don't have to put up with the Inex rules, my club votes on tires so I was wondering how Inex did it evidently they like to screw the racers. I thought the whole point of legend cars was to be affordable , how can they call it affordable when guys got over 5 grand in a motor, that isn't affordable we run 03' Suzuki GSXR 600's that cost race ready $600-$1,000 no bull, and they last we run 50 shows on the motor's before freshening & no screwing with carbs, thats whats pissa about the injected motors.

It would be even cheaper if you didn't race. Dont know what you call a race ready motor, but I found alot of GSXR600 boneyard pulls when researching your statement for the $1000-$1400 range...would those be race ready? OOOOh, there is one on eBay for $350! I bet thats race ready...drop it in and go!

I've got 60+ shows on my 1200. Have taken the 10 minutes needed to balance the carbs twice, and had the valves adjusted once. If you came here to try to turn this into 20/20 or Legends Nation, it isn't going to happen.

We all choose to race, nothing is forced upon us. You don't race in INEX, so why you care about their rules, I have no idea.

Thank you, have a wonderful day.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled tire thread, already in progress....

Do you think Barack Obama would support Legends racing if the tires were white? Then they would help eliminate global warming along with the white streets and white roofs they're babbling about. I think white walls would be cool...and more period correct.
I agree Jeff tires are fun, especially when at least 3 of them are touching the track

I will not glorify your post with a response other than to say:

1) Nowhere was any type of manure mentioned by me
2) I never said I was mad about anything
3) You choose to run your Dwarf, I'll keep running my Legend.

This site isn't for anyone to get on their soapbox and bitch about what INEX chooses to do with their series.  However, I don't want to exclude the dwarf racers from the site either.  But let's keep the pissing matches to a dull roar please.

Don't be bashing INEX here.  Those guys have been nothing but nice to me and I just can't see the good in it.  If you are happy with them, continue to race with them.  If you are unhappy with the direction they are going, do something else.  It really is just that simple.

I would just hope they would offer a grandfather clause, maybe they will sell them till they are gone and let you run them till they need replacing ( I hope )
And Jim whitewalls would be cool ( The real wide ones ) :)

If they do make a change as major as this, I would think there would be a one year grace period, like the wheel rule. They announced it at the beginning of last year, but it isn't in force until 2010. I can't see them telling everyone that they have to scrap their tires and buy new ones or you can't race.

There should not be a problem with phasing the old tires out.  If you want to run up front in Atlanta, you have to change tires every week or at least every other week.  The tires don't last like they once did.  When I got my last set, I was advised to run about four races and get another set.
